Once you’ve selected your interior doors, it is time to consider your hardware options (handles/knobs, locks and hinges).
When choosing hardware for your interior doors, it is important to balance function with the aesthetic appeal of these devices.
Decide on what lock function that you need. Privacy locks generally used in bathrooms don’t use keys and can be locked by a thumb turn. Non-keyed locks are often used on interior doors throughout a dwelling.
Levers or handles may be considered over knobs for easier operation by the elderly and young children.
Chose a finish – interior door hardware often come with a standard brass or chrome finish, although other options are generally available. Polished or brushed finishes can be chosen once a colour has been selected.
